Six masked courses for the 2020 Carnival
From 1st to 25th February
There will be six Masked Courses of the Viareggio Carnival 2020 scheduled from 1 to 25 February. Absolutely new: the night parade on Thursday 20 February, to celebrate Fat Thursday. This is the new calendar for the 147th year of the Viareggio Carnival.
The Viareggio Carnival 2020 will begin on Saturday 1 February with the inauguration ceremony, the flag-raising and the first Corso Mascherato. The allegorical floats will return to parade on the Viali a Mare on Sunday 9, Saturday 15, Thursday 20, Sunday 23 and Tuesday 25 February for the grand finale with the announcement of the winners and the closing fireworks display. A crescendo of events, which from Fat Thursday and Fat Tuesday will create a sort of Carnival "week".
