Back on tour in some of the main Italian theaters Teresa Mannino with the show "I feel the Earth turn" (written by herself with Giovanni Donini) and her scratchy, light, intelligent and subtle comedy. His stories from Sicily travel all over Italy to light up a smile, make people think, unleash a laugh. His artistic career unfolds between comic experiences on stage and small screen, radio and cinema, to finally arrive at a world made up of stories, emotions and testimonials. Teresa Mannino, who also directs it, presents the show as follows: “Vivo locked in a closet, for months, years. One day I decide to go out, I open the doors and a small ray of artificial light blinds me, I go out and try to open my eyes, I open them and I read that Prince Harry is getting married and that the axis of the earth is moving. Strangely, I jump on the less glamorous news. How is it possible that the Earth's axis is varying? As long as spring disappears, the seasons change, but the axis of the Earth ... It seems that, due to the melting of the ice, the Poles become lighter and the axis moves. Like when, at the park, the arrogant mate in front of you suddenly descends from the swing and makes you fall down. Bastard! I read that things are changing radically and very fast, the animals become extinct at an alarming rate, like when the dinosaurs disappeared 66 million years ago. In the sea there are more plastic bottles than fish, on the beaches more tamarri that pay. I read that there is no more water to drink and air to breathe. Crazy things! But the proof that something momentous is happening comes when I see dental floss advertising for dogs. A sure sign that we are about to die out at the zumba rhythm! But there is always talk of other things: parking for straight mothers, tablets at school, TV listening, fake news, baby bonuses. Outside the closet, I discover that the world is falling apart, rolls of toilet paper. So, I look for strategies: I don't use rolls anymore, of any kind, I close the water while they know it, I keep the lights off the Christmas tree, I sell the machine and I do the garden on the balcony. But this does not improve the situation on the planet and in addition I have complicated my life. The strategy must be another. I decide to close myself in the closet, but the closet is no longer the same, inside that closet I hear the Earth spinning.
